The project's aim is to initiate selected Mongolian institutions into process of research, development and experimentation with internet-based methods and technologies for distance education. The project is funded by the International Development Research Centre of Canada.
ESPI is the
licensee for the BBC English language programme currently
being shown on Mongol TV. ESPI is the main retailer for 'Look
Ahead' books and audio tapes.
The project for teachers of English was initiated by ESPI and the school has been giving it administrative and in-kind support since March 2000. The project is funded by the Soros Foundation. It offers in-service training for teachers of English throughout Mongolia.
